Robert Wilson founded RW Wilson and Associates, LLC. (W&A) in 2004. In 2023, Tina Ward became a named partner in the firm.
Wilson Ward & Associates (W&A) is a Florida-based association management, government affairs and event management firm.
Rob’s work with state, regional and national association clients include all phases of association management. He has a proven track record of increasing association revenue, creating member-driven programs, establishing strong financial systems/protocols, and implementing board leadership succession plans.
Over his forty-year career in the energy industry, Rob has successfully managed legislative initiatives in Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Arizona, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Florida. His professional experience includes working on several natural gas pipeline expansion projects, from their conception to completion.
Wilson is a graduate of the University of Nebraska/Omaha with an undergraduate and Master’s degree in Public Administration. Rob was also admitted to the Public Administration PhD programs at the University of Nebraska/Omaha and Florida State University.
Bringing almost two decades of experience to our team, Tina Ward, CMP and CAE, is responsible for managing the daily operations of Wilson Ward & Associates (W&A).
She is also responsible for all client conferences, tradeshows, workshops, retreats, training modules, awards ceremonies, and special events. Tina has extensive experience coordinating all aspects of large events, including managing budgetary expenses, venue contracts, speaker contracts, lodging, vendors, caterers, and much more. She oversees each individual detail that contributes to a successful event. This includes pre-event registration, onsite event execution, and post-event analysis detailing event performance against specific goals to help prepare for the next event.
Tina also implements green meeting practices to minimize event waste and provide a green meeting experience for attendees. Organizing such large gatherings can lead to negative environmental impacts, but Tina takes pride in minimizing these effects as much as possible. Tina also prides herself in providing ADA compliant meeting venues.
Tina also serves as executive director for a statewide and a national association. Providing a full menu of association management services to both.
Given her educational credentials and collegiate playing experience Ms. Ward serves as the firms’ primary point of contact for its soccer-focused sports management practice.
Tina’s executive management skillset has proven to be an invaluable resource to our clients. She offers a optimistic and enthusiastic attitude to meeting client needs. She is a vital component to any team effort and tends to improve performance of those around her through her diligence.
Tina is a member of the Florida Society of Association Executives, active member of the FSAE Meeting Planner Roundtables and serves on the Board of Directors, Women Pipeliners Network.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina-Aiken and master degree from Florida State University. She and her husband, Andre, reside in Tallahassee with daughter Breckin, son Jax, and beloved dog Duchess.
